David J. Small, Founder & CEO
| David J. Small graduated from The University of Colorado, Boulder with a B.A. in Humanities. His emphases were in Musicology and Sociology. |

Culminating with cum laude honors, David was also asked to join the exclusive Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society, established in 1776. He was concurrently recruited into the national nonprofit, Teach for America, through which he dedicated two years to teach literacy intervention in a low-income public school in Watts, CA. Since becoming a Teach for America alumnus and after earning a Master’s Degree in Education, he founded SLR Music Group to establish the business foundation of his career. A singer, songwriter, and composer, David writes and performs under the name PIUMA. |
| The latest audio and sampling technology is used in SLR's recording studio through which he independently produces his own music as well as the music of other select artists. David works to support humanitarian and environmental nonprofit organizations throughout Los Angeles and the United States. He is currently writing his first full length album. |
